Cherishing the Sleepy Moments
The baby had to be put down drowsy, but not totally asleep. I was strict with myself and with her, to help guide her into falling asleep on her own.
Since she's older and I'm more confident in being out with her, we travel more, stretching her awake time. Sometimes we get home and she is so tired, but its also been ages since she last ate. We settle into the glider, her mouth moving on my breast and her arm over her eyes as she drifts into sleep.
Her body snuggled against me. Her breathing slow and steady. These are some of the sweetest moments that I will cherish forever.
